CVE-2021-23567 | 1 Colors.js Project | 1 Colors.js | 2022-01-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
The package colors after 1.4.0 are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) that was introduced through an infinite loop in the americanFlag module. Unfortunately this appears to have been a purposeful attempt by a maintainer of colors to make the package unusable, other maintainers' controls over this package appear to have been revoked in an attempt to prevent them from fixing the issue. Vulnerable Code js for (let i = 666; i < Infinity; i++;) { Alternative Remediation Suggested * Pin dependancy to 1.4.0
CVE-2021-45445 | 1 Unisys | 1 Clearpath Mcp Tcp\/ip Networking Services | 2022-01-19 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |

CVE-2021-40111 | 1 Apache | 1 James | 2022-01-12 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
In Apache James, while fuzzing with Jazzer the IMAP parsing stack, we discover that crafted APPEND and STATUS IMAP command could be used to trigger infinite loops resulting in expensive CPU computations and OutOfMemory exceptions. This can be used for a Denial Of Service attack. The IMAP user needs to be authenticated to exploit this vulnerability. This affected Apache James prior to version 3.6.1. This vulnerability had been patched in Apache James 3.6.1 and higher. We recommend the upgrade.

An unauthenticated and remote adversary can consume all of the device's CPU due to crafted HTTP requests sent to SMA100 /fileshare/sonicfiles/sonicfiles resulting in a loop with unreachable exit condition. This vulnerability affected SMA 200, 210, 400, 410 and 500v appliances.
CVE-2021-25663 | 1 Siemens | 4 Capital Vstar, Nucleus Net, Nucleus Readystart and 1 more | 2021-12-10 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A vulnerability has been identified in Capital VSTAR (Versions including affected IPv6 stack), Nucleus NET (All versions), Nucleus ReadyStart V3 (All versions < V2017.02.4), Nucleus ReadyStart V4 (All versions < V4.1.0), Nucleus Source Code (Versions including affected IPv6 stack). The function that processes IPv6 headers does not check the lengths of extension header options, allowing attackers to put this function into an infinite loop with crafted length values.
CVE-2021-20270 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Pygments and 1 more | 7 Debian Linux, Fedora, Pygments and 4 more | 2021-12-10 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An infinite loop in SMLLexer in Pygments versions 1.5 to 2.7.3 may lead to denial of service when performing syntax highlighting of a Standard ML (SML) source file, as demonstrated by input that only contains the "exception" keyword.
CVE-2019-25040 | 2 Debian, Nlnetlabs | 2 Debian Linux, Unbound | 2021-12-03 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
** DISPUTED ** Unbound before 1.9.5 allows an infinite loop via a compressed name in dname_pkt_copy. NOTE: The vendor disputes that this is a vulnerability. Although the code may be vulnerable, a running Unbound installation cannot be remotely or locally exploited.
CVE-2018-20482 | 3 Debian, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Debian Linux, Tar, Leap | 2021-11-30 | 1.9 LOW | 4.7 MEDIUM |
GNU Tar through 1.30, when --sparse is used, mishandles file shrinkage during read access, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (infinite read loop in sparse_dump_region in sparse.c) by modifying a file that is supposed to be archived by a different user's process (e.g., a system backup running as root).

CVE-2021-31363 | 1 Juniper | 2 Junos, Junos Os Evolved | 2021-10-25 | 3.3 LOW | 6.5 MEDIUM |
In an MPLS P2MP environment a Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (RPD) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to cause high load on RPD which in turn may lead to routing protocol flaps. If a system with sensor-based-stats enabled receives a specific LDP FEC this can lead to the above condition. Continued receipted of such an LDP FEC will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS 19.2 version 19.2R2 and later versions prior to 19.2R3-S3; 19.3 versions prior to 19.3R2-S6, 19.3R3-S2; 19.4 versions prior to 19.4R1-S4, 19.4R2-S4, 19.4R3-S2; 20.1 versions prior to 20.1R2-S1, 20.1R3; 20.2 versions prior to 20.2R2-S1, 20.2R3; 20.3 versions prior to 20.3R1-S2, 20.3R2. This issue does not affect Juniper Networks Junos OS versions prior to 19.2R2. Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved All versions prior to 20.1R2-S3-EVO; 20.3 versions prior to 20.3R1-S2-EVO.
