CVE-2017-10953 | 1 Foxitsoftware | 1 Foxit Reader | 2019-10-09 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader 8.3.0.14878. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the gotoURL method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-5030.
CVE-2017-10955 | 1 Emc | 1 Data Protection Advisor | 2019-10-09 | 9.0 HIGH | 8.8 HIGH |
** DISPUTED ** This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of EMC Data Protection Advisor 6.3.0. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the EMC DPA Application service, which listens on TCP port 9002 by default. When parsing the preScript parameter, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-4697. NOTE: Dell EMC disputes that this is a vulnerability.

CVE-2017-10605 | 1 Juniper | 14 Junos, Srx100, Srx110 and 11 more | 2019-10-09 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
On all vSRX and SRX Series devices, when the DHCP or DHCP relay is configured, specially crafted packet might cause the flowd process to crash, halting or interrupting traffic from flowing through the device(s). Repeated crashes of the flowd process may constitute an extended denial of service condition for the device(s). If the device is configured in high-availability, the RG1+ (data-plane) will fail-over to the secondary node. If the device is configured in stand-alone, there will be temporary traffic interruption until the flowd process is restored automatically. Sustained crafted packets may cause the secondary failover node to fail back, or fail completely, potentially halting flowd on both nodes of the cluster or causing flip-flop failovers to occur. No other Juniper Networks products or platforms are affected by this issue. Affected releases are Juniper Networks Junos OS 12.1X46 prior to 12.1X46-D67 on vSRX or SRX Series; 12.3X48 prior to 12.3X48-D50 on vSRX or SRX Series; 15.1X49 prior to 15.1X49-D91, 15.1X49-D100 on vSRX or SRX Series.
CVE-2016-8626 | 1 Redhat | 4 Ceph, Enterprise Linux Desktop, Enterprise Linux Server and 1 more | 2019-10-09 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
A flaw was found in Red Hat Ceph before 0.94.9-8. The way Ceph Object Gateway handles POST object requests permits an authenticated attacker to launch a denial of service attack by sending null or specially crafted POST object requests.
CVE-2016-9578 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Spice Project | 7 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop, Enterprise Linux Server and 4 more | 2019-10-09 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A vulnerability was discovered in SPICE before 0.13.90 in the server's protocol handling. An attacker able to connect to the SPICE server could send crafted messages which would cause the process to crash.
CVE-2016-9494 | 1 Hughes | 8 Dw7000, Dw7000 Firmware, Hn7000s and 5 more | 2019-10-09 | 3.3 LOW | 6.5 MEDIUM |
Hughes high-performance broadband satellite modems, models HN7740S DW7000 HN7000S/SM, are potentially vulnerable to improper input validation. The device's advanced status web page that is linked to from the basic status web page does not appear to properly parse malformed GET requests. This may lead to a denial of service.

CVE-2016-7069 | 1 Powerdns | 1 Dnsdist | 2019-10-09 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue has been found in dnsdist before 1.2.0 in the way EDNS0 OPT records are handled when parsing responses from a backend. When dnsdist is configured to add EDNS Client Subnet to a query, the response may contain an EDNS0 OPT record that has to be removed before forwarding the response to the initial client. On a 32-bit system, the pointer arithmetic used when parsing the received response to remove that record might trigger an undefined behavior leading to a crash.
CVE-2016-6567 | 1 Shdesigns | 1 Resident Download Manager | 2019-10-09 | 10.0 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
SHDesigns' Resident Download Manager provides firmware update capabilities for Rabbit 2000/3000 CPU boards, which according to the reporter may be used in some industrial control and embedded applications. The Resident Download Manager does not verify that the firmware is authentic before executing code and deploying the firmware to devices. A remote attacker with the ability to send UDP traffic to the device may be able to execute arbitrary code on the device. According to SHDesigns' website, the Resident Download Manager and other Rabbit Tools have been discontinued since June 2011.

A missing check of the TSIG time and fudge values was found in AXFRRetriever, leading to a possible replay attack.
CVE-2016-7074 | 2 Debian, Powerdns | 3 Debian Linux, Authoritative, Recursor | 2019-10-09 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
An issue has been found in PowerDNS before 3.4.11 and 4.0.2, and PowerDNS recursor before 4.0.4, allowing an attacker in position of man-in-the-middle to alter the content of an AXFR because of insufficient validation of TSIG signatures. A missing check that the TSIG record is the last one, leading to the possibility of parsing records that are not covered by the TSIG signature. |
