The XMLHttpRequest object in Qt before 4.8.4 enables http redirection to the file scheme, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to force the read of arbitrary local files and possibly obtain sensitive information via a file: URL to a QML application.
CVE-2019-11324 2 Canonical, Python 2 Ubuntu Linux, Urllib3 2021-06-15 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The urllib3 library before 1.24.2 for Python mishandles certain cases where the desired set of CA certificates is different from the OS store of CA certificates, which results in SSL connections succeeding in situations where a verification failure is the correct outcome. This is related to use of the ssl_context, ca_certs, or ca_certs_dir argument.
CVE-2019-3822 7 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 4 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 13 more 2021-06-15 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
libcurl versions from 7.36.0 to before 7.64.0 are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. The function creating an outgoing NTLM type-3 header (`lib/vauth/ntlm.c:Curl_auth_create_ntlm_type3_message()`), generates the request HTTP header contents based on previously received data. The check that exists to prevent the local buffer from getting overflowed is implemented wrongly (using unsigned math) and as such it does not prevent the overflow from happening. This output data can grow larger than the local buffer if very large 'nt response' data is extracted from a previous NTLMv2 header provided by the malicious or broken HTTP server. Such a 'large value' needs to be around 1000 bytes or more. The actual payload data copied to the target buffer comes from the NTLMv2 type-2 response header.

The postrm script in the tomcat6 package before 6.0.45+dfsg-1~deb7u3 on Debian wheezy, before 6.0.45+dfsg-1~deb8u1 on Debian jessie, before 6.0.35-1ubuntu3.9 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS; the tomcat7 package before 7.0.28-4+deb7u7 on Debian wheezy, before 7.0.56-3+deb8u6 on Debian jessie, before 7.0.52-1ubuntu0.8 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, 16.04 LTS, and 16.10; and the tomcat8 package before 8.0.14-1+deb8u5 on Debian jessie, before 8.0.32-1ubuntu1.3 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, before 8.0.37-1ubuntu0.1 on Ubuntu 16.10, and before 8.0.38-2ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 17.04 might allow local users with access to the tomcat account to gain root privileges via a setgid program in the Catalina directory, as demonstrated by /etc/tomcat8/Catalina/attack.
CVE-2019-17539 3 Canonical, Debian, Ffmpeg 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ffmpeg 2021-06-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In FFmpeg before 4.2, avcodec_open2 in libavcodec/utils.c allows a NULL pointer dereference and possibly unspecified other impact when there is no valid close function pointer.
CVE-2018-3665 6 Canonical, Citrix, Debian and 3 more 14 Ubuntu Linux, Xenserver, Debian Linux and 11 more 2021-06-09 4.7 MEDIUM 5.6 MEDIUM
System software utilizing Lazy FP state restore technique on systems using Intel Core-based microprocessors may potentially allow a local process to infer data from another process through a speculative execution side channel.
CVE-2009-1955 7 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 4 more 7 Apr-util, Mac Os X, Ubuntu Linux and 4 more 2021-06-06 5.0 MEDIUM N/A
The expat XML parser in the apr_xml_* interface in xml/apr_xml.c in Apache APR-util before 1.3.7, as used in the mod_dav and mod_dav_svn modules in the Apache HTTP Server, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted XML document containing a large number of nested entity references, as demonstrated by a PROPFIND request, a similar issue to CVE-2003-1564.
CVE-2015-3185 3 Apache, Apple, Canonical 5 Http Server, Mac Os X, Mac Os X Server and 2 more 2021-06-06 4.3 MEDIUM N/A
The ap_some_auth_required function in server/request.c in the Apache HTTP Server 2.4.x before 2.4.14 does not consider that a Require directive may be associated with an authorization setting rather than an authentication setting, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions in opportunistic circumstances by leveraging the presence of a module that relies on the 2.2 API behavior.
CVE-2019-0211 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 5 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 2 more 2021-06-06 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4 releases 2.4.17 to 2.4.38, with MPM event, worker or prefork, code executing in less-privileged child processes or threads (including scripts executed by an in-process scripting interpreter) could execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the parent process (usually root) by manipulating the scoreboard. Non-Unix systems are not affected.
CVE-2018-1333 4 Apache, Canonical, Netapp and 1 more 6 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Cloud Backup and 3 more 2021-06-06 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
By specially crafting HTTP/2 requests, workers would be allocated 60 seconds longer than necessary, leading to worker exhaustion and a denial of service. Fixed in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.34 (Affected 2.4.18-2.4.30,2.4.33).
CVE-2018-1303 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more 7 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more 2021-06-06 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A specially crafted HTTP request header could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30 due to an out of bound read while preparing data to be cached in shared memory. It could be used as a Denial of Service attack against users of mod_cache_socache. The vulnerability is considered as low risk since mod_cache_socache is not widely used, mod_cache_disk is not concerned by this vulnerability.
CVE-2018-1301 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more 2021-06-06 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
A specially crafted request could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30, due to an out of bound access after a size limit is reached by reading the HTTP header. This vulnerability is considered very hard if not impossible to trigger in non-debug mode (both log and build level), so it is classified as low risk for common server usage.
CVE-2018-1302 3 Apache, Canonical, Netapp 6 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Clustered Data Ontap and 3 more 2021-06-06 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
When an HTTP/2 stream was destroyed after being handled, the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30 could have written a NULL pointer potentially to an already freed memory. The memory pools maintained by the server make this vulnerability hard to trigger in usual configurations, the reporter and the team could not reproduce it outside debug builds, so it is classified as low risk.
