CVE-2017-5647 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A bug in the handling of the pipelined requests in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M18, 8.5.0 to 8.5.12, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.42, 7.0.0 to 7.0.76, and 6.0.0 to 6.0.52, when send file was used, results in the pipelined request being lost when send file processing of the previous request completed. This could result in responses appearing to be sent for the wrong request. For example, a user agent that sent requests A, B and C could see the correct response for request A, the response for request C for request B and no response for request C.
CVE-2017-7674 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 4.3 MEDIUM |
The CORS Filter in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M21, 8.5.0 to 8.5.15, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.44 and 7.0.41 to 7.0.78 did not add an HTTP Vary header indicating that the response varies depending on Origin. This permitted client and server side cache poisoning in some circumstances.
CVE-2017-15706 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
As part of the fix for bug 61201, the documentation for Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M22 to 9.0.1, 8.5.16 to 8.5.23, 8.0.45 to 8.0.47 and 7.0.79 to 7.0.82 included an updated description of the search algorithm used by the CGI Servlet to identify which script to execute. The update was not correct. As a result, some scripts may have failed to execute as expected and other scripts may have been executed unexpectedly. Note that the behaviour of the CGI servlet has remained unchanged in this regard. It is only the documentation of the behaviour that was wrong and has been corrected.
CVE-2018-11759 | 3 Apache, Debian, Redhat | 3 Tomcat Jk Connector, Debian Linux, Jboss Core Services | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
The Apache Web Server (httpd) specific code that normalised the requested path before matching it to the URI-worker map in Apache Tomcat JK (mod_jk) Connector 1.2.0 to 1.2.44 did not handle some edge cases correctly. If only a sub-set of the URLs supported by Tomcat were exposed via httpd, then it was possible for a specially constructed request to expose application functionality through the reverse proxy that was not intended for clients accessing the application via the reverse proxy. It was also possible in some configurations for a specially constructed request to bypass the access controls configured in httpd. While there is some overlap between this issue and CVE-2018-1323, they are not identical.
CVE-2018-8037 | 2 Apache, Debian | 2 Tomcat, Debian Linux | 2019-04-15 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
If an async request was completed by the application at the same time as the container triggered the async timeout, a race condition existed that could result in a user seeing a response intended for a different user. An additional issue was present in the NIO and NIO2 connectors that did not correctly track the closure of the connection when an async request was completed by the application and timed out by the container at the same time. This could also result in a user seeing a response intended for another user. Versions Affected: Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M9 to 9.0.9 and 8.5.5 to 8.5.31.
CVE-2018-1323 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat Jk Connector | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
The IIS/ISAPI specific code in the Apache Tomcat JK ISAPI Connector 1.2.0 to 1.2.42 that normalised the requested path before matching it to the URI-worker map did not handle some edge cases correctly. If only a sub-set of the URLs supported by Tomcat were exposed via IIS, then it was possible for a specially constructed request to expose application functionality through the reverse proxy that was not intended for clients accessing Tomcat via the reverse proxy.
CVE-2014-8111 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat Connectors | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | N/A |
Apache Tomcat Connectors (mod_jk) before 1.2.41 ignores JkUnmount rules for subtrees of previous JkMount rules, which allows remote attackers to access otherwise restricted artifacts via unspecified vectors.
CVE-2016-6808 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat Jk Connector | 2019-04-15 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
Buffer overflow in Apache Tomcat Connectors (mod_jk) before 1.2.42.
CVE-2014-7810 | 3 Apache, Debian, Hp | 3 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Hp-ux | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | N/A |
The Expression Language (EL) implementation in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.44, 7.x before 7.0.58, and 8.x before 8.0.16 does not properly consider the possibility of an accessible interface implemented by an inaccessible class, which allows attackers to bypass a SecurityManager protection mechanism via a web application that leverages use of incorrect privileges during EL evaluation.
CVE-2017-12616 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
When using a VirtualDirContext with Apache Tomcat 7.0.0 to 7.0.80 it was possible to bypass security constraints and/or view the source code of JSPs for resources served by the VirtualDirContext using a specially crafted request.
CVE-2015-5345 | 3 Apache, Canonical, Debian | 3 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
The Mapper component in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.45, 7.x before 7.0.68, 8.x before 8.0.30, and 9.x before 9.0.0.M2 processes redirects before considering security constraints and Filters, which allows remote attackers to determine the existence of a directory via a URL that lacks a trailing / (slash) character.
CVE-2017-12615 | 2 Apache, Microsoft | 2 Tomcat, Windows | 2019-04-15 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
When running Apache Tomcat 7.0.0 to 7.0.79 on Windows with HTTP PUTs enabled (e.g. via setting the readonly initialisation parameter of the Default to false) it was possible to upload a JSP file to the server via a specially crafted request. This JSP could then be requested and any code it contained would be executed by the server.
CVE-2016-8747 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An information disclosure issue was discovered in Apache Tomcat 8.5.7 to 8.5.9 and 9.0.0.M11 to 9.0.0.M15 in reverse-proxy configurations. Http11InputBuffer.java allows remote attackers to read data that was intended to be associated with a different request.
CVE-2016-8745 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A bug in the error handling of the send file code for the NIO HTTP connector in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M13, 8.5.0 to 8.5.8, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.39, 7.0.0 to 7.0.73 and 6.0.16 to 6.0.48 resulted in the current Processor object being added to the Processor cache multiple times. This in turn meant that the same Processor could be used for concurrent requests. Sharing a Processor can result in information leakage between requests including, not not limited to, session ID and the response body. The bug was first noticed in 8.5.x onwards where it appears the refactoring of the Connector code for 8.5.x onwards made it more likely that the bug was observed. Initially it was thought that the 8.5.x refactoring introduced the bug but further investigation has shown that the bug is present in all currently supported Tomcat versions.
CVE-2016-0706 | 3 Apache, Canonical, Debian | 3 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux | 2019-04-15 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 4.3 MEDIUM |
Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.45, 7.x before 7.0.68, 8.x before 8.0.31, and 9.x before 9.0.0.M2 does not place org.apache.catalina.manager.StatusManagerServlet on the org/apache/catalina/core/RestrictedServlets.properties list, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended SecurityManager restrictions and read arbitrary HTTP requests, and consequently discover session ID values, via a crafted web application.
CVE-2016-6817 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
The HTTP/2 header parser in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M11 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.6 entered an infinite loop if a header was received that was larger than the available buffer. This made a denial of service attack possible.
CVE-2015-5174 | 3 Apache, Canonical, Debian | 3 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux | 2019-04-15 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 4.3 MEDIUM |
Directory traversal vulnerability in RequestUtil.java in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.45, 7.x before 7.0.65, and 8.x before 8.0.27 allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended SecurityManager restrictions and list a parent directory via a /.. (slash dot dot) in a pathname used by a web application in a getResource, getResourceAsStream, or getResourcePaths call, as demonstrated by the $CATALINA_BASE/webapps directory.
CVE-2016-0714 | 3 Apache, Canonical, Debian | 3 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux | 2019-04-15 | 6.5 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
The session-persistence implementation in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.45, 7.x before 7.0.68, 8.x before 8.0.31, and 9.x before 9.0.0.M2 mishandles session attributes, which allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended SecurityManager restrictions and execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a web application that places a crafted object in a session.
CVE-2014-0230 | 2 Apache, Oracle | 2 Tomcat, Virtualization | 2019-04-15 | 7.8 HIGH | N/A |
Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.44, 7.x before 7.0.55, and 8.x before 8.0.9 does not properly handle cases where an HTTP response occurs before finishing the reading of an entire request body, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (thread consumption) via a series of aborted upload attempts.
CVE-2014-0099 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2019-04-15 | 4.3 MEDIUM | N/A |
Integer overflow in java/org/apache/tomcat/util/buf/Ascii.java in Apache Tomcat before 6.0.40, 7.x before 7.0.53, and 8.x before 8.0.4, when operated behind a reverse proxy, allows remote attackers to conduct HTTP request smuggling attacks via a crafted Content-Length HTTP header. |
