Multiple unrestricted file upload vulnerabilities in NETGEAR Management System NMS300 1.5.0.11 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary Java code by using (1) fileUpload.do or (2) lib-1.0/external/flash/fileUpload.do to upload a JSP file, and then accessing it via a direct request for a /null URI.
CVE-2016-1525 | 1 Netgear | 1 Prosafe Network Management Software 300 | 2018-10-09 | 7.8 HIGH | 8.6 HIGH |
Directory traversal vulnerability in data/config/image.do in NETGEAR Management System NMS300 1.5.0.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the realName parameter.
CVE-2001-0888 | 3 Atmel, Linksys, Netgear | 3 Firmware, Wap11, Me102 | 2017-10-09 | 5.0 MEDIUM | N/A |
Atmel Firmware 1.3 Wireless Access Point (WAP) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a SNMP request with (1) a community string other than "public" or (2) an unknown OID, which causes the WAP to deny subsequent SNMP requests.
CVE-2001-0514 | 3 Atmel, Linksys, Netgear | 3 802.11b Vnet-b Access Point, Wap11, Me102 | 2017-10-09 | 7.5 HIGH | N/A |
SNMP service in Atmel 802.11b VNET-B Access Point 1.3 and earlier, as used in Netgear ME102 and Linksys WAP11, accepts arbitrary community strings with requested MIB modifications, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information such as WEP keys, cause a denial of service, or gain access to the network.
CVE-2009-0680 | 1 Netgear | 1 Ssl312 | 2017-09-28 | 7.8 HIGH | N/A |
cgi-bin/welcome/VPN_only in the web interface in Netgear SSL312 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (device crash) via a crafted query string, as demonstrated using directory traversal sequences.
CVE-2016-10176 | 1 Netgear | 2 Wnr2000v5, Wnr2000v5 Firmware | 2017-09-02 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
The NETGEAR WNR2000v5 router allows an administrator to perform sensitive actions by invoking the apply.cgi URL on the web server of the device. This special URL is handled by the embedded web server (uhttpd) and processed accordingly. The web server also contains another URL, apply_noauth.cgi, that allows an unauthenticated user to perform sensitive actions on the device. This functionality can be exploited to change the router settings (such as the answers to the password-recovery questions) and achieve remote code execution.
CVE-2016-10174 | 1 Netgear | 2 Wnr2000v5, Wnr2000v5 Firmware | 2017-09-02 | 10.0 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
The NETGEAR WNR2000v5 router contains a buffer overflow in the hidden_lang_avi parameter when invoking the URL /apply.cgi?/lang_check.html. This buffer overflow can be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker to achieve remote code execution.
CVE-2016-10175 | 1 Netgear | 2 Wnr2000v5, Wnr2000v5 Firmware | 2017-09-02 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 9.8 CRITICAL |
The NETGEAR WNR2000v5 router leaks its serial number when performing a request to the /BRS_netgear_success.html URI. This serial number allows a user to obtain the administrator username and password, when used in combination with the CVE-2016-10176 vulnerability that allows resetting the answers to the password-recovery questions.

CVE-2017-5521 | 1 Netgear | 26 Ac1450, Ac1450 Firmware, D6220 and 23 more | 2017-08-31 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
An issue was discovered on NETGEAR R8500, R8300, R7000, R6400, R7300, R7100LG, R6300v2, WNDR3400v3, WNR3500Lv2, R6250, R6700, R6900, and R8000 devices. They are prone to password disclosure via simple crafted requests to the web management server. The bug is exploitable remotely if the remote management option is set, and can also be exploited given access to the router over LAN or WLAN. When trying to access the web panel, a user is asked to authenticate; if the authentication is canceled and password recovery is not enabled, the user is redirected to a page that exposes a password recovery token. If a user supplies the correct token to the page /passwordrecovered.cgi?id=TOKEN (and password recovery is not enabled), they will receive the admin password for the router. If password recovery is set the exploit will fail, as it will ask the user for the recovery questions that were previously set when enabling that feature. This is persistent (even after disabling the recovery option, the exploit will fail) because the router will ask for the security questions.
