Multiple integer overflows in the (1) v9fs_xattr_read and (2) v9fs_xattr_write functions in hw/9pfs/9p.c in QEMU (aka Quick Emulator) allow local guest OS administrators to cause a denial of service (QEMU process crash) via a crafted offset, which triggers an out-of-bounds access.
CVE-2017-12904 | 2 Debian, Newsbeuter | 2 Debian Linux, Newsbeuter | 2020-10-21 | 9.3 HIGH | 8.8 HIGH |
Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command in bookmarking function of Newsbeuter versions 0.7 through 2.9 allows remote attackers to perform user-assisted code execution by crafting an RSS item that includes shell code in its title and/or URL.
CVE-2018-10583 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 7 Openoffice, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more | 2020-10-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An information disclosure vulnerability occurs when LibreOffice 6.0.3 and Apache OpenOffice Writer 4.1.5 automatically process and initiate an SMB connection embedded in a malicious file, as demonstrated by xlink:href=file://192.168.0.2/test.jpg within an office:document-content element in a .odt XML document.
CVE-2016-1000341 | 2 Bouncycastle, Debian | 2 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
In the Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier DSA signature generation is vulnerable to timing attack. Where timings can be closely observed for the generation of signatures, the lack of blinding in 1.55, or earlier, may allow an attacker to gain information about the signature's k value and ultimately the private value as well.
CVE-2016-1000342 | 2 Bouncycastle, Debian | 2 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
In the Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier ECDSA does not fully validate ASN.1 encoding of signature on verification. It is possible to inject extra elements in the sequence making up the signature and still have it validate, which in some cases may allow the introduction of 'invisible' data into a signed structure.
CVE-2016-1000343 | 2 Bouncycastle, Debian | 2 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
In the Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier the DSA key pair generator generates a weak private key if used with default values. If the JCA key pair generator is not explicitly initialised with DSA parameters, 1.55 and earlier generates a private value assuming a 1024 bit key size. In earlier releases this can be dealt with by explicitly passing parameters to the key pair generator.
CVE-2016-1000345 | 2 Bouncycastle, Debian | 2 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
In the Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier the DHIES/ECIES CBC mode vulnerable to padding oracle attack. For BC 1.55 and older, in an environment where timings can be easily observed, it is possible with enough observations to identify when the decryption is failing due to padding.
CVE-2016-1000346 | 2 Bouncycastle, Debian | 2 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 3.7 LOW |
In the Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier the other party DH public key is not fully validated. This can cause issues as invalid keys can be used to reveal details about the other party's private key where static Diffie-Hellman is in use. As of release 1.56 the key parameters are checked on agreement calculation.
CVE-2016-1000339 | 2 Bouncycastle, Debian | 2 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
In the Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier the primary engine class used for AES was AESFastEngine. Due to the highly table driven approach used in the algorithm it turns out that if the data channel on the CPU can be monitored the lookup table accesses are sufficient to leak information on the AES key being used. There was also a leak in AESEngine although it was substantially less. AESEngine has been modified to remove any signs of leakage (testing carried out on Intel X86-64) and is now the primary AES class for the BC JCE provider from 1.56. Use of AESFastEngine is now only recommended where otherwise deemed appropriate.
CVE-2018-12022 | 5 Debian, Fasterxml, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 11 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Fedora and 8 more | 2020-10-20 | 5.1 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind prior to 2.7.9.4, 2.8.11.2, and 2.9.6. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property), the service has the Jodd-db jar (for database access for the Jodd framework) in the classpath, and an attacker can provide an LDAP service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload.
CVE-2018-12023 | 5 Debian, Fasterxml, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 11 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Fedora and 8 more | 2020-10-20 | 5.1 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind prior to 2.7.9.4, 2.8.11.2, and 2.9.6. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property), the service has the Oracle JDBC jar in the classpath, and an attacker can provide an LDAP service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload.
CVE-2016-2510 | 3 Beanshell, Canonical, Debian | 3 Beanshell, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
BeanShell (bsh) before 2.0b6, when included on the classpath by an application that uses Java serialization or XStream, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted serialized data, related to XThis.Handler.
CVE-2016-8734 | 2 Apache, Debian | 2 Subversion, Debian Linux | 2020-10-20 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
Apache Subversion's mod_dontdothat module and HTTP clients 1.4.0 through 1.8.16, and 1.9.0 through 1.9.4 are vulnerable to a denial-of-service attack caused by exponential XML entity expansion. The attack can cause the targeted process to consume an excessive amount of CPU resources or memory.
CVE-2018-8013 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 21 Batik, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 18 more | 2020-10-20 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
In Apache Batik 1.x before 1.10, when deserializing subclass of `AbstractDocument`, the class takes a string from the inputStream as the class name which then use it to call the no-arg constructor of the class. Fix was to check the class type before calling newInstance in deserialization.
CVE-2019-12384 | 3 Debian, Fasterxml, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Enterprise Linux | 2020-10-20 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.9.1 might allow attackers to have a variety of impacts by leveraging failure to block the logback-core class from polymorphic deserialization. Depending on the classpath content, remote code execution may be possible.
CVE-2019-12814 | 2 Debian, Fasterxml | 2 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind | 2020-10-20 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x through 2.9.9. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has JDOM 1.x or 2.x jar in the classpath, an attacker can send a specifically crafted JSON message that allows them to read arbitrary local files on the server.
CVE-2019-5436 | 7 Debian, F5, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 11 Debian Linux, Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller, Fedora and 8 more | 2020-10-20 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
