CVE-2022-2959 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2023-02-14 | N/A | 7.0 HIGH |
A race condition was found in the Linux kernel's watch queue due to a missing lock in pipe_resize_ring(). The specific flaw exists within the handling of pipe buffers. The issue results from the lack of proper locking when performing operations on an object. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2021-3667 | 2 Netapp, Redhat | 3 Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility, Enterprise Linux, Libvirt | 2023-02-12 | 3.5 LOW | 6.5 MEDIUM |
An improper locking issue was found in the virStoragePoolLookupByTargetPath API of libvirt. It occurs in the storagePoolLookupByTargetPath function where a locked virStoragePoolObj object is not properly released on ACL permission failure. Clients connecting to the read-write socket with limited ACL permissions could use this flaw to acquire the lock and prevent other users from accessing storage pool/volume APIs, resulting in a denial of service condition. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2019-3901 | 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp | 11 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager For Vmware Vsphere and 8 more | 2023-02-12 | 1.9 LOW | 4.7 MEDIUM |
A race condition in perf_event_open() allows local attackers to leak sensitive data from setuid programs. As no relevant locks (in particular the cred_guard_mutex) are held during the ptrace_may_access() call, it is possible for the specified target task to perform an execve() syscall with setuid execution before perf_event_alloc() actually attaches to it, allowing an attacker to bypass the ptrace_may_access() check and the perf_event_exit_task(current) call that is performed in install_exec_creds() during privileged execve() calls. This issue affects kernel versions before 4.8.
CVE-2019-14898 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Mrg | 2023-02-12 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
The fix for CVE-2019-11599, affecting the Linux kernel before 5.0.10 was not complete. A local user could use this flaw to obtain sensitive information, cause a denial of service, or possibly have other unspecified impacts by triggering a race condition with mmget_not_zero or get_task_mm calls.
CVE-2022-4129 | 2 Fedoraproject, Linux | 2 Fedora, Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol | 2023-02-12 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). A missing lock when clearing sk_user_data can lead to a race condition and NULL pointer dereference. A local user could use this flaw to potentially crash the system causing a denial of service.
CVE-2023-20928 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2023-02-06 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
In binder_vma_close of binder.c, there is a possible use after free due to improper locking. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android kernelAndroid ID: A-254837884References: Upstream kernel
CVE-2021-4149 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2023-02-01 | 2.1 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
A vulnerability was found in btrfs_alloc_tree_b in fs/btrfs/extent-tree.c in the Linux kernel due to an improper lock operation in btrfs. In this flaw, a user with a local privilege may cause a denial of service (DOS) due to a deadlock problem.
CVE-2023-22412 | 1 Juniper | 46 Junos, Mx10, Mx10000 and 43 more | 2023-01-24 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
An Improper Locking vulnerability in the SIP ALG of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with MS-MPC or MS-MIC card and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a flow processing daemon (flowd) crash and thereby a Denial of Service (DoS). Continued receipt of these specific packets will cause a sustained Denial of Service condition. This issue occurs when SIP ALG is enabled and specific SIP messages are processed simultaneously. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series and SRX Series 20.4 versions prior to 20.4R3-S4; 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R3-S3; 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S2; 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R3; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R2. This issue does not affect Juniper Networks Junos OS versions prior to 20.4R1 on MX Series, or SRX Series.
CVE-2020-29661 | 6 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 18 Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 15 more | 2023-01-17 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
A locking issue was discovered in the tty subsystem of the Linux kernel through 5.9.13. drivers/tty/tty_jobctrl.c allows a use-after-free attack against TIOCSPGRP, aka CID-54ffccbf053b.
CVE-2022-42328 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2023-01-10 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
Guests can trigger deadlock in Linux netback driver T[his CNA information record relates to multiple CVEs; the text explains which aspects/vulnerabilities correspond to which CVE.] The patch for XSA-392 introduced another issue which might result in a deadlock when trying to free the SKB of a packet dropped due to the XSA-392 handling (CVE-2022-42328). Additionally when dropping packages for other reasons the same deadlock could occur in case of netpoll being active for the interface the xen-netback driver is connected to (CVE-2022-42329).

CVE-2022-3996 | 1 Openssl | 1 Openssl | 2022-12-15 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
If an X.509 certificate contains a malformed policy constraint and policy processing is enabled, then a write lock will be taken twice recursively. On some operating systems (most widely: Windows) this results in a denial of service when the affected process hangs. Policy processing being enabled on a publicly facing server is not considered to be a common setup. Policy processing is enabled by passing the `-policy' argument to the command line utilities or by calling either `X509_VERIFY_PARAM_add0_policy()' or `X509_VERIFY_PARAM_set1_policies()' functions. |
