CVE-2020-13998 | 1 Citrix | 1 Xenapp | 2022-04-27 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
** UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED ** Citrix XenApp 6.5, when 2FA is enabled, allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to ascertain whether a user exists on the server, because the 2FA error page only occurs after a valid username is entered. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.
CVE-2019-10071 | 1 Apache | 1 Tapestry | 2022-04-22 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 9.8 CRITICAL |
The code which checks HMAC in form submissions used String.equals() for comparisons, which results in a timing side channel for the comparison of the HMAC signatures. This could lead to remote code execution if an attacker is able to determine the correct signature for their payload. The comparison should be done with a constant time algorithm instead.
CVE-2021-43398 | 1 Cryptopp | 1 Crypto\+\+ | 2022-04-18 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
** DISPUTED ** Crypto++ (aka Cryptopp) 8.6.0 and earlier contains a timing leakage in MakePublicKey(). There is a clear correlation between execution time and private key length, which may cause disclosure of the length information of the private key. This might allow attackers to conduct timing attacks. NOTE: this report is disputed by the vendor and multiple third parties. The execution-time differences are intentional. A user may make a choice of a longer key as a tradeoff between strength and performance. In making this choice, the amount of information leaked to an adversary is of infinitesimal value.
CVE-2016-0762 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 15 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 12 more | 2022-04-18 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
The Realm implementations in Apache Tomcat versions 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M9, 8.5.0 to 8.5.4, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.36, 7.0.0 to 7.0.70 and 6.0.0 to 6.0.45 did not process the supplied password if the supplied user name did not exist. This made a timing attack possible to determine valid user names. Note that the default configuration includes the LockOutRealm which makes exploitation of this vulnerability harder.
CVE-2019-13377 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 1 more | 2022-04-18 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
The implementations of SAE and EAP-pwd in hostapd and wpa_supplicant 2.x through 2.8 are vulnerable to side-channel attacks as a result of observable timing differences and cache access patterns when Brainpool curves are used. An attacker may be able to gain leaked information from a side-channel attack that can be used for full password recovery.
CVE-2019-14356 | 1 Coinkite | 4 Coldcard Mk1, Coldcard Mk1 Firmware, Coldcard Mk2 and 1 more | 2022-04-18 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
** DISPUTED ** On Coldcard MK1 and MK2 devices, a side channel for the row-based OLED display was found. The power consumption of each row-based display cycle depends on the number of illuminated pixels, allowing a partial recovery of display contents. For example, a hardware implant in the USB cable might be able to leverage this behavior to recover confidential secrets such as the PIN and BIP39 mnemonic. In other words, the side channel is relevant only if the attacker has enough control over the device's USB connection to make power-consumption measurements at a time when secret data is displayed. The side channel is not relevant in other circumstances, such as a stolen device that is not currently displaying secret data. NOTE: At Coinkite, we’ve already mitigated it, even though we feel strongly that it is not a legitimate issue. In our opinion, it is both unproven (might not even work) and also completely impractical—even if it could be made to work perfectly.
CVE-2022-22356 | 1 Ibm | 1 Mq Appliance | 2022-04-18 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
IBM MQ Appliance 9.2 CD and 9.2 LTS could allow an attacker to enumerate account credentials due to an observable discrepancy in valid and invalid login attempts. IBM X-Force ID: 220487.
